The mission of the Building and Codes Department is to ensure public health and safety in construction and property by enforcing local, state, and federal codes and zoning ordinances to facilitate and ensure quality construction, orderly development and a high standard of living for our citizens.

The Administrative Division is responsible for all the administrative functions associated with the department.
The Construction Division is responsible for initially issuing applicable building permits and follow-through until completion of project and a Certificate of Occupancy is issued.
The Enforcement Division is responsible for initially issuing applicable codes and ordinances dealing with environmental issues.
