With the City’s First-Time Homebuyer Program,
homeownership is closer than you think! 

The City of Clarksville's First-Time Homebuyer Program is a homeownership program designed to help income eligible households with down payment and closing cost assistance to purchase their first home within the City limits of Clarksville.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides the City with funding through the HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) for the purpose of expanding or improving affordable housing to lower income residents of Clarksville. The City allocates a portion of its annual allocation of HOME funds to offer low interest loans for down payments and approved closing costs to qualified lower income households who want to become homebuyers.

One of the requirements for this program is to take a First Time Homebuyer Education Class. If approved through our program, this class is free to the homebuyer.
